Kingshood Support is always finding new ways of working by putting in place systems that work. Because we care about the Environment and we desire to do something revolutionary we have gone 95% paperless and digital.
At Kingshood Support our packages are solution driven and that makes us unique. We make sure our service users get the tailored support they need by listening to them and then build a therapeutic relationship with them. The models of care we use are Just Enough Care, A Home of Your Own, Supported Living, Support and Independence Progression and finally Transition.

Supported Living & Accommodation
We provide highly specialist support for people who have mental health conditions, learning disabilities and autism in the community. We believe in homes and not hospitals.
As an organisation we keep up to date with the latest research, innovations in technology and evidence-based best practice.
Kingshood support works together with other professionals to assess each person's needs and develop their support using a Positive Behaviour Support framework. We focus on placing each person at the centre of their own care, empowering each individual to learn the skills that really matter to them, enabling them to live happy, contented lives.
This means each person we support gets exactly the right kind of expert attention they need, when they need it, so they can make more choices about what they want from life every day.
What can you expect from staff?
All Kingshood Suppport staff who provide service should:
Show respect for your values, beliefs, culture, ethinicity, sexuality, age, gender or disability.
Promote and maintain your dignity.
Give you information about choices available for your care and treatment.
Value you personal experience, and support your strengths and preferences.
Enable you to have as much control over your care and treatment as possible.
We know that the best outcomes are achieved when we work closely with families. Families are involved in every step from recruiting the support team and finding the right accommodation, to attending planning and feedback meetings to ensure things are staying on track. We also have a family charter that sets out our commitment to working with you and outlines your personal preferences for how you’d like to stay involved and stay in touch.
We are open to talk about what’s needed to ensure exciting and positive outcomes are achieved in the next stages of the life of someone we support.
Positive Behaviour Support
Our focus is on encouraging people to challenge themselves to achieve their own goals and get the most out of life, while supporting increased independence and choice.
We believe behaviour that is challenging is a form of communication. Kingshood support puts an effort to understand the reasons why people display behaviour that challenges before we can support them to have more positive behaviour. Our work is evidenced based and data driven.
Our PBS consultants carry out functional assessments of any behaviour that is challenging and work alongside the individual, their family, and their support team. They support people to develop functionally equivalent skills, which means they no longer need to engage in the challenging behaviour. We plan care in a person-centred way to improve people's quality of life, and work towards living an independent life possible.
